In no time at all, Aldo was asking for bigger than your average 24 or 48 piece puzzles to do on his own. By the time we had to pack puzzles away for a little bit while our little got his barings.
Now that they're both older, we're breaking the puzzles back out. After getting a foot and a half of snow overnight once this last winter, I pulled out the 60, 100, and 300 piece puzzles. Aldo spent some time showing his brother how to do the simple puzzles and even longer time having quality bonding with his dad. Finding a puzzle to do doesn't have to be onerous. Here are some tips that I have developed based on our experience:
And the very last tip: Have fun! I found that putting the puzzles together was a really good way for me to relax. As an added bonus, we got to do something together that didn't involve screens. (Honestly, after a solid year of COVID, anything without screens is rare these days.) Enjoy! Below are some of the puzzles we have bought that we really liked:
