Origami.![]() When I was in high school, before cell phones had more features than playing Snake, we would send notes folded as footballs (link on how to do them). We would tell our friend's future with magic fortune telling (lol) (link on how to do this). Why not revisit these by relearning origami? (I say relearning because it seems to be one of those things that have completely fallen out of my head. Unlike the oh-so-important lyrics to every single 80's, 90's, and '00's radio hits... those are obviously invaluable to everyday life). But, with two little purchases, we had origami paper and a how-to book: Easy Origami (30 simple projects) For Aldo, it made sense to have the book as he is really good at following step-by-step instructions from his Lego sets. For your kiddo, videos may make more sense. Here's a nice list of videos showing how to do basic folds: An Easy Origami Heart A 3 minute Butterfly Fold Easy to Fold Dog Head Paper Crane Remember, it's important to play! It's okay if they don't look exactly like the instructions or the intended animal. As long as you're having fun, then it's a win!
