Aldo has been painting since he could independently move his limbs (accidentally and intentionally). One of his very first canvas paintings is one that still hangs in his room lovingly titled: Forest Fire... which is... a painting of a forest fire. Bleak, I know. But he was so proud of it (and still is to this day!) Lately, he's been painting our house or forests. Since we've been at home for so long and the only place we really go outside of the house are parks, most of the pictures he focuses on are of his experience. You can give your kiddo a theme to paint or let them go to town on whatever they imagine. Here's what you'll need to paint your very own masterpiece: - Paints (any kind will do - we use Crayola's Washable paints because... mess) - Paintbrushes (a small, medium, and large brush will help your kiddo explore how to paint differently) - Canvas or paper (the dollar store tends to have a lot of choices for small canvases) - Easel (optional)
Important painting tips!
And be sure to share your masterpieces in the comments! We'd love to see them! Good luck painters!
