Game 1: Spelling One-by-OneTake all the letters and mix them up. Face down, sort out piles of a number the kiddo chooses. Then, from each pile, craft as many words as possible. Once your kiddo has crafted their words, write them down. 3-Letter words are worth 1 point 4-Letter words are worth 2 points 5-Letter words are worth 3 points (etc.) They 'win' as soon as you get to 10 points. Game 2: Word ChallengeHere's a challenge for your kiddo. Spell out a really big word, like Hippopotamus, Rhinoceros, Amphibious, or Ambidextrous. Now, using ONLY those letters, ask your kiddo to spell as many words as possible. Write them down. For every word spelled, the student gets a point. When they get to 20 points, they 'win'. Bonus: When they get really good, start giving them a time limit. Don't forget to have fun!
